Treatment - Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment which is a very effective, natural method of restoring and maintaining a person’s Qi (vital energy) and health.
In TCM the human body is seen as an energy system in which Qi flows along specific pathways, called Meridians or Channels. When a person is healthy, Qi moves in the body with ease, but if its flow is blocked, insufficient or is flowing in the wrong direction, the person will become ill.
Acupuncture can correct this and restore the person to health. This is achieved when the practitioner inserts very fine, sterilised, single-use needles into specific points along a Channel. The practitioner stimulates these points, thereby clearing blockages and encouraging the normal flow of Qi which, in turn, restores the person to health.
