Acupuncture complements IVF medications and works alongside it in helping follicles to develop and endometrium lining to thicken. It also helps with male fertility issues, such as low sperm count, poor motility or morphology. It does this by ensuring there is good blood flow to the reproductive system in women and men. When a person is stressed the blood flows away from the reproductive system and acupuncture is excellent for relieving stress too. It also modulates hormones, on its own as well as with IVF medications.
Acupuncture is a form of medicine which works at a physical, emotional and spiritual level. The “Qi” (vital energy) flowing in pathways known as Meridians or Channels can get blocked. Acupuncture points along these Channels help to get rid of that blockage.
